Retail specialist Nick Clark is a member of the highly regarded Commerce Real Estate Solutions retail team - an agent whose knowledge and understanding of the market make him a standout in the commercial retail arena. Experienced, motivated, smart and creative, Nick demonstrates the energy and dedication to hard work it takes to successfully accomplish his clients’ real estate goals along with the knowledge necessary to protect their interests.
Nick began his career in commercial real estate in 1997, teaming with seasoned retail veterans Herm Franks, John Owens, and Tom Cook to learn the nuances of the business and gain “in the trenches” experience in retail land assemblages, leasing and sales. He rapidly proved himself to be a quick study with a focus and determination that clients learned they could depend upon, developing relationships with tenants and developers that will last for years to come.
Nick is a valued member of a widely recognized retail team that has been responsible for site selection and allocation for major retailers such as Wal-Mart, Shoe Carnival (Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington), Boston Pizza, AT&T corporate, Joann Fabric’s (Utah, and Wyoming), Dollar Cuts(Utah, and Idaho) and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. Among other assignments, his group is currently handling site work for the Wal-Mart expansions in Utah.
Listing properties for clients has become a strong suit for Nick, as he has developed a database of tenants who are always looking for new space. His ability to manage his clients, and their listings assures each client that their property will receive the attention and service they have come to expect from Nick and his professional approach. His skills in making cold calls to potential tenants, and his ability to close deals, make him an invaluable asset to his clients.
Nick’s skill in assembling site information, competition analysis, demographic profiles and market penetration studies is augmented by his ability to cut through extraneous data and focus on each individual client’s requirements.
Nick graduated from the University of Utah in 2001 with a degree in political science. Additional references are available upon request.
