Company Experience

Jon has twenty-six years of experience in a broad range of commercial and corporate real estate. His total transactions completed, exceed $850 million involving over 9 million square feet of office, industrial, retail and multi-family properties.

As partner of Commerce Real Estate Solutions, based in the Provo/Orem office, he has direct responsibility for the Utah County market in Utah, heading a team of fifteen professionals and support staff in providing the most professional and comprehensive range of commercial real estate brokerage services in the market. The office is a part of and works extensively with the Salt Lake City office, the most experienced commercial brokerage service firm, in Utah.

As Director of of Corporate Real Estate from 1990 to 1998 for Amdahl Corporation, a Fortune 500 technology company, Jon spearheaded all worldwide real estate and project management including lease and purchase negotiations, project planning and construction. He personally expedited the sublease and sale of one million square feet of headquarters space in a significant downsizing of the company's facilities.

Jon negotiated and closed transactions as principal for an institutional advisory firm for ten years. He was Vice President, Acquisitions for Equitec Properties Company as a buyer of major commercial properties for investment funds. His experience in that role included investment property sourcing, negotiation, oversight of due diligence and closing of the transactions. Besides his acquisitions assignments at Equitec, Jon spent time in his tenure there as a lender on major commercial real estate loans.
