Professional Expertise

John Hanson has been involved in successful lease and sale transactions totaling a value of over $2 billion in total consideration during his career. He has empirically driven 20% to 30% operating cost savings to his clients, involving over 600 separate projects, and totaling over 50 million square feet. Currently, John services the Seattle office's Amazon accounts exclusively. He has been, and continues to be recognized for his accomplishments on a national basis throughout the real estate industry.

John joined Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce in 2006, after a successful tenure with the Trammell Crow Company, where he was quickly promoted to the role of Senior Vice President. He made the decision to leave his prior firm when the company was acquired in 2006. All told, John has over sixteen years of unparalleled experience in the real estate industry. During his career, he has managed some of the most complex transactions for prominent corporate and institutional clients throughout the Seattle region, nationally, and abroad. John’s primary expertise has focused on transaction management. However, he has also been instrumental in the formulation and implementation of real estate strategies focused on coast initiatives and effective portfolio management. In addition, John has directly managed strategic site selection, incentive negotiations, and Foreign Trade Zone initiatives for a wide array of complex projects.

John approaches his work holistically and with transparent accountability. His ability to bring a collective team approach to projects, and attention to detail and bottom-line results leads to exceptional solutions for his clients.

John is the proud husband to Piper and father to Cole and Camden.
