Professional Expertise

Throughout his career, Mike Hillis has been actively involved in all phases of commercial and industrial real estate and business transactions, not merely as a facilitator, but as an active participant who must live with the transaction after the close. This hands-on experience provides the critical insight necessary to ensure that all the details important to making a deal a good one are covered.

As a professional with Cushman & Wakefield Commerce, Mike focuses on investment and industrial transactions, drawing on his broad experience in dealing with the most complex real estate challenges. He has represented national, regional and local clients in transactions spanning 24 states, and Canada. Currently, Mike and his team are focusing on Industrial Leasing and Sales as well as investment opportunities for their clients.

From 2006 to 2012, Mike served as Managing Partner for the company’s Las Vegas office after 12 years as a broker in the Salt Lake office. To compliment his professional experience, he has achieved the designations of both Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and The Society of Industrial & Office Realtors (SIOR). He is also a licensed Business Broker.

Prior to entering into the brokerage business, Hillis served nine years as president of Easton Aluminum, the international sporting goods manufacturing company. There he developed the company’s state-of-the-art, automated distribution facilities in Salt Lake City to handle worldwide distribution for Easton products.

Mike has served in many commercial real estate leadership positions in the past, including National Speaker of the Council of Presidents, Executive Committee, Board Member and Chapter President for SIOR. He has served as a Director of the Commercial Alliance of The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR), as a member of the Professional Standards Committee of SIOR, Trustee of the SIOR Foundation, and education chairman for the Southern Nevada chapter of SIOR. In 2013 and 2014, Mike served as the International President of SIOR. Mike graduated from The University of Oregon Business School with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Industrial Management.
