Professional Expertise

Marilyn Smith is an Assistant Property Manager at Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce, where she supports management of the nine building Lone Peak Center, in Draper, Utah. The 531,000 square foot corporate campus hosts a wide range of office tenants, with some retail joining soon. Marilyn manages tenant relations through regular contact, rent collections, receiving and tracking service calls and dispatching vendors to perform service repairs.

Marilyn has over 30 years’ property management and full-charge accounting experience. She is proficient in numerous property management software platforms, including MRI, Yardi Voyager and Timberline.

Marilyn was part of the management team that won the local and regional TOBY award for the Lone Peak Center in Draper, UT in both 2014 and 2015. Prior to working with Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce, Marilyn was recruited by Transwestern in 2007 to join the management team in Salt Lake City. Her responsibilities there included accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, tenant relations and monthly reporting. Prior to joining the Transwestern team, Marilyn worked for Cottonwood Partners Management, one of the most respected property management firms in Salt Lake City.

Prior to working full-time in the finance and property management fields, Marilyn studied accounting at BYU for two years. She is very active with BOMA’s Utah Chapter (Building Owners & Managers Association), supporting the annual BOMA Utah service project at the Utah Food Bank, and also volunteers with the Centennial Park Figure Skating Club in West Valley City, UT., where she was Treasurer for five years and still helps coordinate their annual ice show and skating competition.
