Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Elects Mike Hillis as President

MAY 04, 2013—WASHINGTON, DC—After serving a one-year term as SIOR’s President-Elect, Mike Hillis, SIOR, CCIM, Principal of Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce Real Estate Solutions in Las Vegas, NV, was recently elected President of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR).  The election took place during the SIOR Spring World Conference in Palm Springs, CA in May.  Hillis will be installed as President at SIOR’s Leadership Conference this upcoming fall.

“It is an exciting opportunity to join SIOR’s Board as President.  I look forward to pursuing new and existing organization initiatives working with the executive committee and the Board of Directors,” said Hillis.

As a professional with Cushman & Wakefield/Commerce, Hillis has focused on investment and industrial transactions drawing on his broad experience in dealing with the most complex real estate challenges. He has represented regional and national clients throughout the US and Canada.  In 2006, he became Managing Partner and Principal Broker for the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance office in Las Vegas, Nevada where he and his team focus on industrial sales and leasing as well as investment opportunities for their clients throughout the Western US.

An SIOR  member since 2001, Hillis has served in many commercial real estate leadership positions in the past, such as National Speaker of the Council of Presidents, Executive Committee, Board Member, Professional Standards Committee, Chapter President and Trustee of the SIOR Foundation.  He is also a licensed business broker and a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Global Supply Chain Solutions Group.
