Company Experience

Scott Bennion serves as the President of the Asset Services Group for Commerce Real Estate Solutions, a position he has held since July, 2004. As president he oversees all operations of the property management portfolio. This portfolio includes over 8 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space throughout Utah and Washington.

Scott leads a team located in offices along the Wasatch Front, in Park City, and St. George, Utah, and Seattle and Bellevue, Washington. The operations of the Asset Services Group include property and facilities management, due diligence and project management.

Scott began his career with Commerce in 1998 as a portfolio manager. In this capacity he managed nearly 1 million square feet of real estate where his duties included, lease administration, maintenance, capital improvements, tenant relations, tenant retention, marketing efforts and managing all aspects of financial operations. His hard work, determination, attention to detail, and dedication to the success of his clients provided Scott the opportunity to quickly rise in the industry. His extraordinary leadership and focus on adding value to his clients investments, combined with his innate business sense, made him a natural choice as president of the Asset Services Group.

Prior to joining Commerce Scott worked in residential property management as a Portfolio Manager, a Senior Property Manager, and as Project Manager. During this time he managed tenant/landlord relations and maintenance, coordinated with general and sub-contractors, directed a condominium sales team, managed construction budgets, and administered all financial activities. Having worked in all areas of property management Scott has gained a wealth of experience that is difficult to match in the industry.

Scott’s experience is further enhanced by his strong belief in education. He received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Utah, speaks fluent Spanish, has an Associate Brokers real estate license and has earned the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM). Scott also believes in the importance of being involved in the community, he is an active member of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, participates in the, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
